About

My name is Cordon Louco and I have 15 + years of experience in endurance running. Through years of experience and adventure, I have developed endurance running programs that are proven, refined, and built to help you become your best self.

I started running on my high school team that was always competing to win the state title in cross country. That freshman year I began to develop an understanding of my coaches' training theory which grew into a deeper understanding through my senior year. Then I competed at Duquesne University in D1 Cross Country and Track and Field. I was always asking questions and taking notes to use these lessons for my future coaching philosophy. Seeing how my teammates and I responded to a collegiate level training plan gave me specialized data that I have been able to utilize in the coaching that I have done thus far. As I found more success in cross country throughout college, I had to become a durable and more powerful athlete than the talented elite runners. I learned this is something you can always train and develop. I would debate understanding this part of training to be able to compete against the talented elites of the sport allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of training theory on a personal level that can be applied to you. Utilizing the information gained from college I went on to continue my distance running post collegiately in some very strong professional fields. I was researching more and getting an in the locker room view of how the professional athletes handled themselves in training and throughout race day. With this knowledge, I dream of giving back to help the next athlete reach their goals. This excites me the most! I plan to continue to train and work on endurance training theory to use for you. I am confident in my abilities to apply all applicable skills for each athlete correctly.

I started my own specific coaching journey in college. I worked as an assistant coach for my high school cross country team in the summer. The one fall that I was an assistant coach through the whole season I was able to see the boy's team win the PIAA Cross Country championship. I was able to work directly with the high school athletes giving them a peer view of the lifestyle it takes to have the highest probability of success. Then my next coaching journey began as a volunteer assistant coach at my alma mater, Duquesne University. I helped the athletes with the psychological side of running. In our meetings, I asked the tough questions to see which psychological aspect the athlete needed to work on: self-confidence, understanding pain tolerance, turning self deprecation into positive self talk, etc. The biggest highlight of my coaching career was being the lead distance coach at Gordon College in Wenham, MA from August 2023 through August 2025. I coached the program's first, First Team DIII All-American in Cross country and Track and Field. She was able to become a 5 time All-American in the 2 short years of working together. This, as well as many other school records set at Gordon College during my two years there, prove I can guide athletes in developing their abilities in endurance running. I am here to help you out and I am confident in the elite and professional coaching program Louco Coaching offers to all its athletes.
